This is my first book tour in Book Chikas PH Book Club! I was so nervous with this one, since it's a first, and my other book chicklets were doing to much well on their book tour posts!
I resonated a lot in this book, how Sarah has been so workaholic and how work affects her relationships. And I was so inspired by her strength to step outside her comfort zone and explore the seven waterfalls in the Philippines! I like how the author described the journey, it's like I am doing my own exploration, too!
What stayed with me most was how honest the story is. The pressure to always keep going. The fear of falling behind. How work can slowly take over your life without you noticing.
This was a very timely read, especially during a hectic season at work. Some lines quietly resonated with me, serving as a gentle reminder not to make work your whole world. As someone dealing with burnout and imbalance, the story felt comforting, like a gentle mirror rather than a lecture.
The book also gently encourages you to return to the things you love, to be curious, and to step outside your usual routine. It inspired me to try new things and to experience life more fully, even in small ways.
I love her friends, who supported her journey. I know some would react on how nosy her friends are, but they just care, people care tends to be nosy sometimes. And, along the journey, I love how she finally found the things that she likes doing, and she got a friend whom she can have adventures with.
By the end, Steady Sarah left me with a sense of calm, a quiet reassurance. Life can surprise us in good ways, and even when things feel uncertain, everything will be okay.
